Josh Peace’s Advice: Start Your Dreams Today, Let Go of Fear
If you think about it, the one thing that holds us back from our goals is the fear of change. Any kind of disruption to a schedule that we are used to means that we are getting out of the comfort zone. “In reality, this comfort zone is the thing that is holding you back. It’s not fear explicitly, but it is an underlying concept behind it. Any type of hesitation to pursue your goals comes from a place of fear and denial. When you are in your everyday routine, thinking of any change causes our mind to say we don’t need anything else. But ask yourself, have you accomplished your goals and any dreams that have come to mind?” says Josh Peace. If you can honestly answer that question without thinking of anything, then props to you because you may be content and in align with your goals. However many individuals struggle every day to find more meaning in their professional and personal lives. This is where they must let go of fear to reach their dreams as soon as possible.
“The main thing that I always suggest is to find focus. Focus is a huge factor when it comes to being productive and carefully carrying out the right actions to build towards your goals. Most individuals dream about the future for themselves but are never able to carry it out. When you really want something bad enough, it’s important to be passionate and serious about reaching it. Challenging yourself by removing any type of distractions is the first step towards attaining focus towards reaching your goals,” says Josh Peace. Make sure you put your goals first because without choosing to be focused, your ideas and mind will keep letting in distractions causing you not to be aligned with your goals.
Another question to ask yourself is what is holding you back from reaching your goals besides fear? Why do you keep hanging on to your routine if you know that there is more in store for you? You have the potential to reach for great things, yet you still wonder if you can move forward from your comfort zone. “The real issue is that you need to figure out how to get out of a rhythm. Once uncomfortably hits, that is when most individuals start seeing results. More often, what prevents people from reaching their goals is that there is a lack of understanding towards being honest about reaching your dreams. Being honest with yourself and your fear is the first step in seeing what you can do to change the outcome in the future,” says Josh Peace. Create an outline for yourself and take it one step at a time.
